The Father (God) the son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit - which make up the trinity are all the same thing.

Jesus is how God presented himself of Earth.

'The Lord' is all of those things - which are essentially the same thing.

Confusing i know. They are just interchangeable terms.

I mean the Lord God almighty, the father, the Lord of my life Jesus, the son and the Holy Spirit, the gift that God gave me in allowing part of Himself to dwell within me. Yes, The Trinity - that what I mean. Some may mean something else. Nani

    God.

The Bible clearly speaks of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit...and also clearly presents that there is only one God. Thus the term: "Tri" meaning three, and "Unity" meaning one, Tri+Unity = Trinity. It is a way of acknowledging what the Bible reveals to us about God, that God is yet three "Persons" who have the same essence of deity.

Some have tried to give human illustrations for the Trinity, such as H2O being water, ice and steam (all different forms, but all are H2O).

Yeah all of those things. The Lord is just another name for God, such as The Redeemer, Alpha and Omega, etc., that which the Muslim faith calls Allah and the Jewish faith calls Yahweh.

    @"Who, exactly, is The Lord?"

Speaking for myself: I will use the analogy that Jesus gave the Pharisees in Matthew 22: 41-46.

Jesus asked them, "Who do you think I am the son of?"

They told Jesus, "The son of David."

Jesus asked, "Well, how do David 'in the spirit' call him lord, saying, "The LORD said unto my Lord, You sit here on my right hand, till I make thou enemies your footstool?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

    Matthew 22: 41-46.

    Psalm 110:1...David.

In my opinion, the HIGH CASE LETTERS INDICATE...GOD ALMIGHTY AND the lower case letters indicate Jesus, the Lord.

So, I would ask them, if I were interested in knowing who they were speaking of.

There is God... only one God. Jesus was God in the flesh. The only being to be called Lord is God. He is Lord above all creation.

the lord is the invisible man that can hear your thoughts and sometimes grants wishes.

God, Jesus the 'holy spirity' and the trinity are all one- which makes sense to nobody but the christian faithful.

"Lord" means Jehovah. Saying Jesus is Lord is saying Jesus is Jehovah.

Jesus is Jehovah existing as a man.

the lord sitith on the right hand of God

the lord is referring to Jesus because he rose from the grave and desended into hell then on (i think) the third day he rose again and acesnded into heaven and sitith upon the right hand of God.
