Pros and Cons of i686 versus x86_64?
Which is better and what are the pros and cons of each if you have a 64-bit capable proc?

64 bit is alot safer as most viruses arnt supported but 32 bit has older software supported
now there is alot newer 64 bit software but if u have any old programs they prob wont work, this rule applies with games but there are loads of shortcuts such as with far cry 1.
64 bit is ur best bet starting of for a first computer (less anti virus software to install i dont even use a firewall on my 64bit, safer generally aswel) but 32bit is more reliable in the fact that if u want to install ur old software hope it helped
AND GO FOR 64BIT I LOVE IT :)
