There are many scriptures in the bible that shows that God and jesus are not the same person.?
So why is it that some people continue to believe that they are the same. for example john 17:3 reads This means everlasting life their taking in knowledge of you the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth jesus christ.
,john 3:16,For GOD loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten son,in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
proverbs 8:30-31, then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men.
,romans 10:9 For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.
matthew16: 16 In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And there are also other scriptures that help us to appreciate that their are not the same person . GOD , jesus, and Holy spirit are separate. don't be mislead by the devil , please read and study your bible, it's a protection from the devil. Thank you .

Hello, I noticed that many people wrote saying, I and the father are one. Yet, Jesus said his disciples could be one, as Jesus and Jehovah are one John 17:21.
What is also a concern, is that very many who answered did not use God's name Jehovah.
Presuming that Jesus is God (which he is not) then Jesus is Jehovah, and nobody used the name in their answers.
Next, if we are God's children, can we also be God's brother. No. Yet, if we are an anointed follower of Jesus, we can be Jesus brother; Matthew 12:50.
Then, when the sons of Zebedee wanted to sit at the right and left hand of Jesus in the Kingdom of God, Jesus said it was not his to give, but only his Father could give such things; Matthew 20:23.
I agree, do not be deceived, Jesus is not God.
Why would God, come down as a human, to only prove he could worship himself? Remember Jesus said at Luke 4:8 that it is Jehovah your God you must worship. He said this when being tempted to worship the devil. How could Jehovah God be tempted to worship the devil?

There are many great answers here supporting that as Jesus the Lord said "I and the Father are one." John 10:30
Throughout John you can find the answers to your questioning.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
John 8:19 So they were saying to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also."
John 10:37 "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
John 10:38 but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."
This is a Big one
John 12:45 "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7) If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
8) Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
9) Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
10) Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
11) Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.
John 15:23 He who hates me hates my Father as well.
And these verses are about the Holy Trinity
John 14:20 "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
John 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
John 17:23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

Is. 9:6 states that Jesus is both God and Father. Jesus stated that He was the I AM (John 8:58). Jesus told Philip and the others that by seeing Him, they had already seen the Father. (John 14:8-9)
In Jesus was all the fullness of God in flesh (Col. 2:9).
In Mt. 28:18, Jesus states that all authority in heaven and earth was His. If He was not God in flesh, then He had authority God did not.
Clearly, you have overlooked a lot of scripture that states clearly that Jesus is God.

I'm not really sure I am seeing the contradiction that you see. I have studied this very topic for several years, as I found myself unsatisfied with the orthodox teaching on the Trinity. I'm still not completely convinced that the Trinity is in fact the ultimate truth, but I can see how the early Church fathers arrived at the conclusions they did. Orthodox Christianity acknowledges that the Father and the Son are each unique persons, along with the Holy Spirit, but concludes that they are also different aspects of the same overall God. This came about because the Bible clearly teaches that a unity of will exists between Father and Son. So, you are correct that they are different people...but also incorrect because ultimately they are inseparable despite their differences.

When Jesus was manifested in the flesh, it was not a second person of the Godhead come down to earth. God did not so love the world that he said, "Come Son, I love them down there so much, you go down and die for them!" Such a concept is totally absurd!
1. Jesus said that He would send the comforter to us (John 16:7), but He also said the Father would send the comforter (John 14:26).
2. The Father alone can draw men to God (John 6:44), yet Jesus said He would draw all men (John 12:32).
3. Jesus will raise up all believers in the last day (John 6:40), yet God the Father quickens (gives life to) the dead and will raise us up (Romans 4:17; I Corinthians 6:14).
4. Christ is our sanctifier (Ephesians 5:26), yet the Father sanctifies us (Jude 1).
We can easily understand all of this if we realize that Jesus has a dual nature. He is both Spirit and flesh, God and man, Father and Son.

The Mainstream Truth of the Bible declares that: There is One God! and only ONE!
This revelation and understanding has its roots in the Laws of God as given to Moses in Deuteronomy:
Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Deu 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Deu 4:35 Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him
Deu 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

The incarnation revealed the invisible Spirit of God to humanity:
Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
These Scriptures teach us that it is a revelation imparted by Jesus Himself.
God did not give the blood of his son, but rather he gave his own blood exactly as Paul wrote in Acts 20:28 "...GOD, WHICH HE HATH PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD"
If God, sent a son, the second person in the godhead, to die on the cross, then He instituted CHILD SACRIFICE. This is in total disharmony with anything Biblical concerning the nature of God. God did not send his son, a second person in the godhead to die for mankind, He came Himself in the body of Jesus Christ! The body of Jesus Christ is the only visible manifestation of God we will ever see... because God is a Spirit. The incarnation provided a 'body' for that Spirit to visibly dwell in - ie., Emmanuel, God with us in the Flesh... Colossians 2:9 states it so succinctly: "For in Him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Did you ever stop to ponder that in Rom. 10:9 where it says "Jesus is Lord", exactly what it means ? Jesus is Lord , He is the Lord God.... Jesus also was a Son, born of a woman, a flesh, bone and blood human, a man. He had no earthly Father (biologically). He is God in the Son.

Isaih43:11I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Hosea13:4Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
Philippians3: 20For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
2nd timothy1:10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Read John 1:1&2 and verse 14.
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
***EDIT do you believe when God says thou shall not have any other gods besides Me??? If you believe the bible is God's word then you should say yes....therefore, my question to you is this....IF JESUS ISN'T GOD...THEN EXPLAIN HOW JESUS ALLOWED OTHERS TO WORSHIP HIM, AND CALL HIM LORD?

There is only ONE GOD: the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and of all mankind. This One God, the I AM, is manifested (revealed) to mankind as FATHER (Creator), SON (Savior) (1 John 5:20), and HOLY GHOST (indwelling Spirit) (Romans 8:11). God is a Spirit (John 4:24), the Eternal One, the Creator of all things, and of all men. Thus making Him their Father (through creation) (Malachi 2:10). The LORD is the FIRST and the LAST, and beside Him there is no God (Isaiah 44:6).
There was no GOD FORMED before him, neither shall there be after Him (Isaiah 43:10). Jesus is the SON of God according to the flesh (Romans 1:3). Jesus is the very God Himself according to the Spirit (Matthew 1:18-23). Jesus is the Christ (Matthew 16:16). Jesus is the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16, 17; John 1:10; Isaiah 40:2. Jesus is God with us (Matthew 1:23). Jesus is God made flesh (John 1:1-14. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). Jesus is He which was, which is, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY (Revelation 1:8; Isaiah 9:6. To this, Jesus Himself testified when He said: “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:7-11).
Since it took shedding of blood for the remission (forgiveness) of the sins of the world (Hebrew 9:22), God as the Father, being a Spirit, had no blood to shed; so he prepared a body of flesh and blood (Hebrew 10:5), that He might fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah 43:11, “Beside ME there is no SAVIOR”. Thus, when Jesus was born into the world, he was Jehovah our Savior (that is the meaning of the name Jesus), the one God of the universe, the Lord God Almighty, born as a man. This caused the angels to sing, “For there is born this day in the city of David , a SAVIOR, which is CHRIST THE LORD” (Luke 2:11).
The Holy Ghost is not the third person in the Godhead! The Holy Ghost is the Spirit, Jesus Christ coming to dwell in the hearts and lives of those who receive him. That is why, when speaking of the Spirit, Jesus said “ I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you” (John 14:16-26; Romans 8:9; 2 Corinthians 13:5). So, THERE ARE NOT THREE PERSONS IN GOD, but three manifestations of the ONE GOD. God is the Savior, and his saving name is now revealed to men as JESUS. Therefore JESUS is the name of God. SALVATION consists of deliverance from sin through the blood of Christ. This is accomplished by REPENTANCE from sin, WATER BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHIRST for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and receiving the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, and the continuance of a godly life (Acts 2:26-41).
Mark 12:27-34
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

I believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. As such we can find all truth in it according to God's master plan. It states in John 1:1-5 (King James Version);
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Word is Jesus who is the light of the world, our Savior and Redeemer. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 Jesus took upon Himself a robe of flesh and became a man in order to die for our sins. Only His humanity could die, not His divinity.
Deut 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord" It continues in verse 5, "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." If the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary (Luke 1:35) then the Holy Ghost is the father and not God. There are many Scriptures that states that God is the FATHER. (John 3:16, Ph 2:11)
Eph 4:5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism."
Col 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
John 10:30 "I and my Father are one."
I John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three ARE one.
1Tim 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
(Luke 24:39) took on the form of man. As a spirit (which no one could see), He could not be sacrificed, as a man (1Tim 3:16 ...God was manifest in the flesh,...) He could be sacrificed; therefore as Emmanuel, God with us (Matt 1:23) became THE PERFECT SACRIFICE to take away the sins of the world. Now having flesh He is now part man and part God, (God being the Father, Mary being the mother) therefore a dual nature.
As Jesus was both Spirit (God being his Father), and Flesh (Mary the mother), it would have been impossible for Him to die as long as the Spirit dwelt in him. The Spirit had to leave the body for a period of time. The man, (Christ Jesus) prayed to God (super-natural spirit), in the Garden when He prayed , "... O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink, it, thy will be done." Matthew 26:42, and again in Mark 15:34, ".....My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
To understand this better let us consider, 1 Tim 3:16 --- And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Isaiah 9:6 --- For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
He was baptized as a man, in His humanity, to fulfill all righteousness and as an example for believers to follow not because He needed to.
Jesus Christ is the Father in Creation, the Son in Redemption and the Holy Spirit in Regeneration, one God with 3 different and distinct roles.
