Does any one know of a proxy server that works for BBC iplayer while I am in the United States?

The BBC blocks all proxy servers as far as I know. It will only accept genuine UK ISPs only. Anything else is automatically blocked. It's to do with the TV licencing laws because we have to pay for a licence to watch TV.

No different when we try and access US sites. Bit of tit for tat really, I can't see yours so you can't see mine. Bit childish if you ask me but there you go!

You can hide your IP address quite easily now if you install a VPN on your computer or smart device. Once you have this on your system you will be able to hide your IP address and not only that you will also be able to change it to whichever country you wish so that you can watch BBC, ITV & other regional TV content from other countries that is otherwise blocked. Usually only takes a few minutes to get them up and running.

I have tryed something quiet simple , reset thew bbc home page location. To for example "London" this works ok some of the time for me . I can watch some shows on it .I live in Ireland btw.
