What if you were homeless?

I'm going to answer this from my dad's perspective, since he's considered himself homeless for the last 9 years.

1.) sleep every night?

He had a tent and lots of camping gear, with a campsite set up in one of the wooded areas around the city.

2.) eat food from?

He panhandles in an outside shopping district where they have stores/restaurants/etc; he would get lunch from a church, and either buy dinner somewhere cheap, or he'd eat the leftovers or take-out that people would give him.

3.) sit and ask for money?

See above. :)

4.) What would you write on your sign?

He actually doesn't have a sign. He has a white plastic basket with a Curious George doll holding it. It his, ahem, "gimmick."

5.) How would you try to better your life?

Well, he went on social security. He's staying with his niece. He had a car for awhile, but it broke down. Mostly, he doesn't really seem *interested* in improving his lifestyle. It's sad, really.

Honestly? I would never be homeless because I would sell my body before I let that happen. I'm hot enough to get paid thousands of dollars for it, so I always could fall back on that. I'm sorry but I'm not sleeping in the dangerous streets, getting dirtier and dirtier by day, and I'm not relying on a government I don't like in the first place to take care of me (they do a shytty job of it anyway). I'd just be the most beautiful hooker ever to hit the streets of DC and stay in hotels until I had enough money to pull myself together and find another real job, and apartment. Not the end of the world, just have to be careful when doing all that disgusting prostituting.

2.) eat at a soup kitchen

3.) i'd sit ouside a bank to ask for money

4.) I'd write "Homeless girl, will sing for money or food!"

5.) I would get a job

I would stick a gun in some chumps face and demand my money...

I would find a church to go to.
