What will happen if i ate some pencil lead?

A few hours back, i ate some pencil lead, got a slight stomachache soon after and now i'm fine.

Update:

I don't eat 5 a day. I just ate them cuz my fren dont think i dare to do so and i did it cuz i rmb doing that a few years back.

the pencillead i ate was from a mechanical pencil

Andreya, did you eat those kind of pencil with red end, yellow and black stripes, and golden words? With HB on it

    Nothing will happen to you. The "lead" used in pencils is actually graphite, a form of pure carbon. The pain you felt was probably due to panic.

    Any graphite swallowed will make a reappearance in a couple of days.

    Please stick to popcorn or pretzels in future!

    do not worry! in the previous pencil lead contained risky stuff now it in basic terms is composed of graphite :) yet that would not recommend it is hassle-free to consume it! If its this way of small quantity like whats on your orange, not something will take place to you. do not throw away a stable orange!

    I ate a whole pencil once when I was 7 (wood and all, chewed my way thought it) it was a bet. I was fine. If you don't get any symptoms you should be fine because there isn't really lead you know :)

    dude...lead is not that healthy. be it graphite or any other form. there could be problems is it mixes with the blood.

    lead is not good if it enters the blood stream and mixes with the blood and speacially if it reaches the heart.

    i would suggest u visit a doc.

    well nowdays pencils are made of graphite which isnt toxic so its unlikely that yove got lead poisoning... i still wouldnt advise eating alot of graphite unless its one of your 5 a day lol

    nothing youll be fine they dont use actually lead in pencils now
