what does it look like? it could be a number of things.

If it is round and looks like a whitehead that will not pop it could be a Millia (dead skin and oil that has hardened and trapped under the skin) If that is the case have him wash his face with a scrub for a few days and get some of the dead skin off and see if it pops out on its own. If it doesn't you will have to take a lancet to it at just make a small slice in the dead skin above the millia. It shouldn't really hurt the skin is dead, after that it should work its way out by itself and will come out like a little seed looking thing. They are harmless just annoying and the eye area is a very common place for them. Oh and if your son happens to be a baby- they get them a lot but babies skin turns over so quickly they usually just go away on their own without your help.

If it is swollen and red it could be a stye. If so put hot compresses on it and use a topical cream that you can get at any drugstore called "Stye"

If not either one of those common eye bumbs I would have a doctor look at it. Just to warn you, if it is a millia a doctor most likely will not do anything about it b/c it is considered cosmetic. So you will end up taking it out yourself anyway...just so you don't think I'm wierd for telling you to puncture your son's skin. Just be really carefull when you do it. Again it shouldn't really hurt. good luck and i hope this helped.
