A volume control for anybody under the age of 18. Plus a mute control for all those women who interrupt an important conversation just to say something completely trite.

A device akin to a Star Trek replicator, where we could create anything by feeding in all manor of waste products to create new products. It would make landfill sites gold mines!
No waste, nothing would need to be thrown away, fantastic!

A solar and/or powered machine that converts carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide into pure oxygen and carbon. It will fight global warming without repurcussions.
