    I'm gonna be honest here and say I didn't think piggies were a good pet in general.

    They smelled horribly, despite constant cage cleanings, they were loud, she didn't like to be held, she was too scared to every do anything, and when you could get her to come out and not run to the nearest shelter, all she did was sit there.

    They're pretty uneventful pets, so I'd just say find something else. D;

    Hi there.

    Guinea pigs are such amazing pets. They don't need injections (which means no vet fees), and just have to go to the vets once every month or so, for claw-trimmings.

    Also, they need cleaning out just twice a week. And they eat peppers, cucumbers, apples, carrots. I feed mine hay and veggies in the morning, and dry pellets in the afternoon.

    I hope I helped - good luck.

    Source(s): I have a pregnant guinea pig.

    they are quite uneasy with being handled, and have a nasty bite for small fingers! i woulndt really suggest them, especially seeing as i imagine like most kids, your daughter will want to cuddle it!

    why don't you spay/neuter the holland lop, and get it a friend like a small dwarf or hotot? of the opposite gender ofcourse!

    not only do rabbits adapt well to humans, your daughter will love watching the bonded bunnies cuddle and play together
