Can I remain the registered keeper if I sell my car to my sister?

I am currently unemployed and need to sell my car, my sister has said that she will buy the car from me and she has agreed to let me keep the car while she learns to drive. She is worried however that I will get her speeding tickets and parking tickets. Is there any way that I can be the registered keeper while her rights are protected as the owner? How do you go about telling the authorities when the V5C logbook only talks about the registered keeper? any help would be appreciated.

You could, but she would have to insure that car as you (as solely the keeper) would have no insurable interest. Her proof-of-ownership would be the bill-of-sale (Receipt) that you gave her

Better in the long term would be a loan from her, and a promise-to-repay from you (in the form of a contract and cheque drawn on your bank account.)

Peter G is right - you also may invalidate your car insurance, as most standard insurance policies require the policy holder to be the registered keeper as well as the owner of the car
