I've always wondered this...?

Okay, so when you're watching tv and people cuss and some of the words are bleeped and some of them are not. How do they decide which ones to bleep, and which not to?

The FCC, the Federal Communications Comittee, has a list of words you can and cannot say at given times on given channels. Saying them will get you fined.

Some of the curse words are considered more offensive than others. For example, if you heard someone on the street say "Oh, hell" that wouldn't really be that offensive even thought that is a cuss word. However, if you heard "What the FU*K?" more people will tend to be offended by that. So they request that the FCC bleep those words

The really bad ones get bleeped like the f word and stuff.

I'm pretty sure they have a national censorship board or something. I think it's the FCC. But stations get fined if they don't bleep out certain words that people find offensive.
