Can you help me with my USB connection?

I want to add music to my Blackberry 8350 Curve from my laptop. I've done it many times before, but for some reason it's not working this time around. My memory chip is in my phone, I plug my phone to the USB cord and the cord to the laptop. It makes the little ding sound meaning it's connected, but NO message pops up asking me what i want to do anymore like it used to. I check in 'My Computer', and the Blackberry is no where to be found. I even check the rest of the drives, but nothing. Can you please help? Just name everything u can think of! 10 pts! Thanks!

you could try to reinstall the blackberry software and resync.

OR to get your music transferred, you could use bluetooth to transfer it, or transfer it directly to the card by putting it into your computer, or using another divice.

if you have a card reader slip the memory card into that, if not try blowing into the usb slots on the phone and laptop to remove any dust, try restarting your laptop.
