Is Noynoy's winning a vindication of...?

there was really no reason to call him that. i realize it's all part of political gimmickry but that is hitting below the belt. i'm happy that he won by a good margin. that ought to silence those who don't know any better.

It is a vindication that the Filipino people wanted change so badly that they seem to forgot or didn't care about the credentials of the next leader. Noynoy's questionable mental state may come to mind, but putting it aside, he was not able to prove anything as a legislator, 9 years as a solon and 3 years as a senator and he did nothing but watch over, according to him, the GAA yearly, which is done by everyone in congress. The country practically benefitted nothing from him, all he could brag about is a platform of change, which always comes after every government transition. But the 13 million people that voted for him did not care, they grasped on the fact that he can do what his parents did, and what did his parents do beside bring back democracy? Again it didn't matter and they voted for him anyway.

Pinoys could just quickly judge anyone especially public figures like Noynoy. Since he will be leading this country for the next six years, we better hope and pray that he be able to prove himself to be the leader we are looking for who will eradicate poverty and corruption, among the top problems of this nation.

Noynoy August 2009: Sa dinami-dami ng iiwang problema ng administrasyong ito, tanga lang ang tatakbong presidente ng Pilipinas.

Noynoy November 2009: Ako po ay tatakbong presidente ng Pilipinas.

The real question is, would he win if not for the death of Cory Aquino whose appeal to the masses, he carried to victory. The term abnoy was coined because of his actions and the recent result of supposedly psychiatric test he had previously. Now he is burdened with this, he has to prove the people who called him abnoy that they are wrong - he got six years.

They have all the rights to called any name they want into this MAN, but surely don't forget one thing..he is next President of the Republic. He has the authority as the head of the executive branch and plays a large role in making Philippine's laws. Now, would they still call him AB-NOY?

The vindication would come depending on his performance in the Palace and not in the polls.

Not exactly. Those who called him names will most likely continue doing so, until he proves them otherwise.

He will be the one to change the country out of miserable situation.
