Has anybody won anything substantial from those radio contests, where you enter the code words and whatnot?

I've been getting points at my local radio station's website, i noticed they use listenersnetwork. There are dozens of such stations which have the same points systems and such, i was just wondering what the odds of winning are. I would imagine the "prizes" you can "buy" tickets for must be split among all the stations that participate? Am I correct in this assumption?

Yes many are MM prizes in which you are going against the entire country. If it say's LL then it's just your station.

I have won some dvd's but mostly I trade my points in to see free concerts. In the last year I have seen:Brad Paisley, Jason Michael Carroll, Bucky Covington, Dierks Bently, Josh Turner, Martina (twice), Kellie Pickler, Jake Owens. I know I'm missing someone.

Many that answer my question have also won many local prizes.

Like many of the others, I mostly stick to the local prizes. Have gotten several sets of concert tickets and quite a few movie passes, some advance screening and some for any showing. I've been averaging a few a month lately so my movie viewing has gone way up ;-)

I put in a few shots for something interesting that is MM but haven't won any of those (yet). I have also won spots in local radio events where one person in about 100 will win a pretty big prize but usually all I get is a free dinner of appetizers and a chance to rub elbows and share ideas with other local contest players.

So for best chances, I recommend sticking to LL (see more info button to determine those) and try the Trade-ins and Auctions if your area station has those.

    Good luck!

I have won the same things tickets to Carrie Underwood, Stars on Ice, Keith Urban,

and American Idol tour. They are not always great seats, but I did have a meet and greet with Carrie - so that was fun.

I also get gift cards for restaurants like Macaroni Grill, Red Devil Pizza and some others.

I get lots of DBACKS tickets but why would anyone want to go to their games. they just keep losin g. It's sort of a hobby. Not going to win anything big because I don't usually try for the big prizes because I don't think I have enough points.

I also only do local stations so I have a better shot at winning but the prizes are smaller.

I have won DVDs, I won a portable DVD player, I just won Kevin Pollak (comedian) tickets a week or so ago, concert tickets, etc. You are also right about the prizes being split between the different stations, although sometimes they have more than one to give away. When I won the Kevin Pollak tickets, I actually won them from two different stations. :)

I won a 19 in flat screen monitor in February of last year and when I talked to them about shipping they told me it was back ordered until the middle of July. They gave my the option of the flat screen monitor or 379 dollars. I took the money and bought the same monitor off of Ebay for half the price. It does happen, but nobody else that I know that plays has ever won anything either.

I am from around Rochester, NY and I consider myself LUCKY to have won it. It was a nation wide contest also.

Yes, I won a MM prize 2 years ago, home theater system. I try to spend points on auctions or trade-ins. I do not like the odds in the MM contests. They used to have very good prizes at auction, not anymore very few auctions.

I , too, have won tickets to concerts like Martina & Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw twice, and tickets to Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells. That is all.

NO not that I have ever heard anyone say they have. I think we are wasting our time. Although I have won three prizes from Extra tv.
