Dv/dt + dv/dx + dv/dy + dx/dt + 2xyt=0 . is this a linear or non-linear differential equation?
This is my son's homework, and I can't do it so pls help

It's linear.
From Wikipedia:
"A differential equation is linear if the unknown function and its derivatives appear to the power 1 (products are not allowed) and nonlinear otherwise."
