What is the difference between Diet Coke and Zero Coke?

coke zero is designed to taste more like real coke, i believe.

diet coke was developed years ago but a lot of people like the taste so they instead of replacing it they came up with a new recipe for coke zero that also has no calories but tastes more like the real thing.

They are both sweetened with aspartame and have basically the same ingredients. Also I think it's a marketing thing. Coke zero is targeted towards young adults and such where diet coke remains popular with older peeps.

Diet Coke tastes good, Coke Zero tastes like shît.

Real answer is that when Diet Coke was created, they rebalanced the flavor to better match the artificial sugar substitute - as a result, Diet Coke is "crisper" than Coca Cola, less heavy and root beer-y.

As far as I know, Coke Zero is basically regular Coke with artificial sweetener instead of corn syrup (or sugar in some parts of Europe). No rebalancing of flavors.

Taste wise, not much. Diet Coke contains citric acid and zero coke has malic acid. Meaning zero coke is fine for those on low carb or atkins diets as citric acid affects ketosis.

I think they use different sweeteners. Coke Zero tastes pretty much like Coke to me but Diet Coke has that chemical sweetener taste to me. I hate Diet Coke.
