Pascal-Hopkins on regular Showtime, not PPV!?

According to ESPN, Jean Pascal and Bernard Hopkins will be fighting on regular Showtime, instead of Showtime PPV as originally planned. Your thoughts? Good move or was the fight deserving of PPV status?

Good move, because Hopkins has bombed a number of times recently on PPV.

It's a relevent fight, in that so far absolutely nobody pays attention to Pascal even with his impressive showing against Chad "Overrated" Dawson.

So at least more of the mainstream media will cover the fight, even if they wouldn't pay to watch it.

Oh wait you mean their Still fighting.........well, then its bad regardless. If this is supposed to be Showtime's way of rewarding or apologizing to fans then I'd rather not receive either one. With all due respect Bernard Hopkins hasn't had an impressive performance in nearly two and a half years and the thought of him headlining another card makes me cringe.

If anything this fight is Jean Pascal's way of proving he's legit by beating an established fighter with first name recognition. Unfortunately Bernard Hopkins isn't a relevant fighter anymore and this bout is more the less a passing of the guard.

Personally; I've always felt like Bernard Hopkins is one of smartest fighters in the game and if Jean Pascal fights Bernard at a slow forty year old man pace where Hopkins has time to think and make adjustment he'll have trouble. But if he makes it a high volume, lost of punches, lots of moving, and action Bernard can be out-worked.

If I had t pick a winner it'd be Bernard Hopkins not because I think he's still got something left but because I think he's smart enough to fool the judges into thinking he beat Jean Pascal.....and the fact that Pascal kind of...well,...he sucks.

It's a big fight for Bhop, and pretty much a money fight for Pascal.
