I am now on Pfizer Norvasc 5 mg for hypertension, please tell me if I could reduce the dosage to 2.5mg?

I am no Pfizer Norvasc 5 mg for hypertension treatment and I wish to reduce the dosage to 2.5 mg. What is the criteria to reduce the dosage? What is the alternate medication to this Norvasc?

    Ignore the bozo that answered. He thinks that dehydration causes all medical problems and has NO formal, graduate medical training.

    Norvasc is actually a great med for BP. If you want to reduce it, discuss the matter with your doctor.

    Alternative meds depend VERY much on the individual patient.
