Jehovah Witness in Singapore?

Usually the Jehovah Witness will answer your question however, they are only allowed one source for their points of view and that is:

I did a search of Signapore on that site and there is nothing in their literature about Signapore. Because they cannot look at our government pages or do any research away from their own publications it looks as if you will have to rely on a non-JW for answers.

They have a very differing interpretation of the bible than christians.

Jesus is an angel named Micheal and Jesus is not God.

They will not allow themselves or their children to receive blood during a surgery, they choose death for their children if blood will save them.

They rely on an ill translation of the bible called the New World Translation. This translation has been debunked by thousands of bible scholars.

Their organization The Watchtower has made numerous false prophecies about the world ending in 1914 and the last date was 1975.

Jesus returned to earth in 1914 but, was not visible to anyone yet they teach He was on earth during that year.

They are the only real and true channel that God speaks to on earth. Any christian who does not belong to their organization is false and following satans religion.

They teach such sensitive topics as whether or not a woman should scream if she is raped and whether that makes the woman guilty of fornication.

You can be disfellowshipped (thrown out) of the congregation if two other people tell the elders of that congregation that you lied or cheated or even slept on the job.

Many more differences as well. Far too many to discuss. The vast majority of bible believing Christians in the USA study their bibles and do not come up with the incorrect interpretations the JW do. I know several people who graduated from bible colleges and they can not make the leap into what the JW believe. Because the JW have changed and added to scripture in their New World Translation they are very misled. Good luck finding your answers.

It can be guaranteed though that the decisions of a political establishment to remove legal status from an organisation will NOT prevent a true Christian individual from carrying out his assigned work as commanded by Christ to his followers.

the stance of the government of Singapore is that Witnesses preaching and even having literature from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is Illegal.

However, that does not mean that the preaching work is not done in that country too. In the bible it says: ''The good news of the kingdom will be preached throughout the entire inhabited earth.'' Paul clearly showed that God's laws are the ones we should make sure to obey.

The answer Rusti Hill provided describing the religion is completely incorrect, I am not a Jehovah Witness but have friends who are. I suggest you attend one of their meetings to find out the truth.
