    Face 4) John L. Sullivan

They may not be the greatest of all times, but they are the most recognized.

what an awesome question. how hard to narrow it down to four, does one pick the best or the most significant? the best would be way more subjective and debatable, hopefully, the most significant would more universally accepted:

I could see sullivan bec he was the big bang of a new era of boxing(using gloves and structure), but jack johnson was the first to usher in science, intelligence, defense, and strategy!

joe louis - hands down belongs up there...nuff said

sugar ray robinson - pound for pound...nuff said

muhammad ali - the 2nd big bang...changed everything and influenced/inspired every fighter that came after him and is so beloved/respected by those he vanquished(except smokin' joe),,,,,,nuff said!

apologies to marciano who, may have been overrated in the grand scheme, but no one did more w/less than he did, skills-wise, and heart says a LOT! apologies also to tyson - for the great ripple - he was indisputably the ONE to beat in the post ali era! no one was heralded more and fell farther from grace...but, oooooooh, wasn't he exciting to watch? man, i miss him!

Face 1: Harry Greb the ultimate fighter and tough guy of boxing who fought blind in 1 eye for 5 yrs.

Face 2: Sugar Ray Robinson, the most complete boxer in history.

Face 3: Muhammad Ali, the man who revolutionized the sport with skill and gift of gab.

Face 4: Rocky Marciano, the man who refused to lose and only undefeated heavyweight Champ.

it had to appreciate who out of your place state could be on your mountain. I dont think of they'd desire to be from that state yet performed on a set from that state. Mine could be Shaun Alexander. Charles Barkley, Bo jackson,Joe Louis
