I would try to be sympathetic with his/her concerns, and at the same time explain why it is important for you to move to Israel. Let them do some research and discover what a great culture there is, and that Israel is an especially fun place to be as a young adult. Try to have answers for all of their questions, and make them feel at ease with the transition by maybe visiting once or twice before actually moving there. Remember that you should always include your teen in the decision-making process, and realize that it will take time to cope with the change. Good Luck!

You want your teenager to move with you abroad. Okay. Tell us more. From where to where and why? What is the teenager's objection? How old are they?

Sit down and talk with him/her and understand their concerns. Try to find solutions. Find a counselor or Rabbi to talk with.
