Help with Olympus E-PL1 camera: please!! (thanks!)?

I just got a lovely Olympus E-Pl1, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to access the controls for things like picture size, ISO and the gazillion other things that can supposedly be controlled if you know the magic sequence of buttons to push. The manual just isn't making things easy for me... can someone please explain EXACTLY how to get to say, the "Super control panel" where its easy to adjust everything? I'd be most appreciative!!!

Update:

I think maybe mine is broken: i did exactly what you said: set the thing in "iauto", then press the start/ok button, then the "into" button.... first time i press it, nothing happens. Next couple of times, a control panel comes up which seems to be the "live control" settings around the edges of the screen, but the only one i can adjust is the one on the lower left which controls the flash settings.

    On the E-PL2 which I have, to tinker with settings, press the OK button. Then arrow up or down to choose what kind of thing you are trying to adjust, and arrow left or right to make your adjustment. Then hit the OK button to save the change and exit the control panel.

    To get into the Super control panel, hit the OK button. Then hit the Info button. If you hit the OK button the Super control panel with be your default control panel. If you don't want that, you can use the Info button to switch back to the regular control panel.

    To have this lovely controllability the dial needs to be set to P, A, S, or M.

    If it is set to Auto or a scene mode, then it may only offer limited control.

    E-PL1 isn't a professional digital camera mate. do not search for professional equipment too a lot. those are in simple terms the equipment. provide a professional photographer a digital camera telephone he can make masterpieces out of it. i'd advise a Sony NEX-5N, small yet nonetheless a superb performer. yet once you're going after a small DSLR, a Canon T2i is a superb decision

    You just got it and you haven't read the book? Oh come on. Do your homework sport. Read the book before doing anything.
