The subduction zone in the pacific northwest of US will slip and cause devastating tsunami, are people ready?

The westcoast of US is in mortal danger from a massive tsunami which will devastate Oregon and most of the west coast of US not to mention being subjected to pyroclastic matter from the eruption of Mt st Helens, so are you getting ready for this inevitable event which will come to pass in the next several years?

Anything that weakens fedgov's hold on the Northwest is a good thing in the long run.

The Japanese were supposedly ready for the earthquake but could do nothing about the tsunami. They had evacuation plans and knew what to do, but the reality of an event on such a large scale is much greater and took them somewhat by surprise. The US is more vulnerable in that sense because unlike the Japanese they don't prepare themselves as adequately for such an event which might make things worse when it happens.

Thanks for the good news as my relatives live on the Oregon Coast. I mean only 150 feet from the surf. I guess it will be a magnificent sight the last few seconds.

And no one is ready. All are living in denial. In California the warning has been around for 35 years of a cataclysmic earthquake to hit the San Adreas fault. I guess people are too busy living in the moment to plan for tomorrow.
