What do you think of ESPN's soccer announcers?
I am watching United play New England and I am struck by how awful the announcers are. They discuss everything but the game going on. I honestly don't care what they had for breakfast yesterday, tell me what's going on on the pitch right now. I can't watch MLS because the commentators are just terrible. I will pick SkySports announcers any day. What do you think? Are the announcers bad? If so what could be improved?

The standard format for announcers (regardless of the sport) is to have 1 play-by-play announcer and 1 color commentator. ESPN seems to have gotten away from that for soccer, and there is a lack of play-by-play. Both want to be color analysts.
Listening to the WWC ESPN TV feed on XM radio, its impossible to tell what is happening on the pitch unless there is a scoring chance.
