Is there a law in Singapore against street evangelism?

Is there a law in Singapore against street evangelism?

As a foreigner, I like to know if there is a law against religious groups doing evangelism? Please quote the law and why?

What if someone does them on a personal basis?

I thought Singapore is a free and open country, why this law?

The philosophy of Street Evangelism is to preach your beliefs in public or personal domains. This does not include enforcing your beliefs on others or questioning and criticizing the existing beliefs held by other people.

In Singapore, there is no such law that prevents you from practicing it so, as long as you don't break the code of conduct that comes with the essential meaning of Street Evangelism. Singapore ,being a free and democratic country, allows it citizens to be exposed but not forced to carry out decisions against the will of the individual. The State protects the rights of the citizens without limiting the freedom of diversity in the society.

If there is a law against openly "preaching" or "street evangelism" this is b/c the government has decided that any public speaking, any public trying to get people's attention (for whatever reason) is not allowed. That all being said..if you are going to be living or travelling in Singapore, we know for sure that there is no law against friendship. There is no law against having people visit your place for coffee or dinner and having conversations.

That is considered to be disturbing the peace.
