How do you turn away the people who are trying to convert you to their religion and believes?

After you have clearly indicated that you are not interested in their believes and will never convert.

How do you tell them off politely?

I would probably say, "I have researched your religion very thoroughly and there is nothing you can tell me that I haven't already heard. You will not and cannot convince me that your religion is true, so lets not waste our time," and then I would walk away.

Sorry, but there is not a really polite way to do it. If you've already said no, and they aren't listening, you need to be very firm. Tell them that you said no, that they need to leave, and that they are only alienating you further by persisting. If that doesn't work, tell them that this is harassment, and that a police officer can make them leave you alone. No one wants to deal with the police.

Largely depends on the person harassing you.

I've had a lot of luck being quiet & respectful. I respectfully point out that my spirituality is different form theirs. I respect their faith & it would be nice if the respect was returned.

Now that only works for reasonable people. And has gotten me out of many potentially aggressive situations.

It's easier if you make quiet statements & brush them off - once you start to engage them you've let yourself open to ongoing harassment & worse. Try NOT to raise your voice, because they'll consider it a threat to themselves & become aggressive "defending" themselves. Always try to avoid confrontation - no matter how much they try & provoke it cause you're being drawn into their games & they are more experienced than you.

If things get to bad, I'd be checking up on your local laws regarding stalking and (still quietly & respectfully) direct them to leave or you'll be making a stalking/harassment/hate-mongering complaint to the Police.

    Call the police!

Where I live neighbors had to call the police on several occasions when mormon missionaries refused to leave and now whenever any sign of missionaries is seen the police attend and require them to leave citing the previous problems with the mormons!

So do not hesitate - if they refuse to leave they are committing a crime - call the police!

You say I am not interested kindly stop trying to convert me.

If that fails after you have stated it ten times then maybe just maybe threatening their lives needs to be done

A baseball bat to the ribs should do the trick.

I just tell them no and ignore them if they bring it up again.
