I think the rook piercing is the most painful. That is because the cartilage in that area is quite thick. it hurts a lot.

Um, well, if you're talking about the general facial piercings, then I'd have to say out of the ones I have (I have the conch, tragus, industrial on one side, cartilage on the other, two earlobes on both ears, and a nose piercing) - the industrial hurt the most. The nose and cartilage were a close second.

From what I've heard, the tongue hurts like crap, but heals up super quick (saliva has enzymes that speed up the healing process). The Monroe piercing hurts the least, from what I've heard as well.

Bridge piercings, a type of nose piercing that's basically like a barbell stuck between the bridge of your nose, supposedly can make a grown man cry.

It also depends on the method used to pierce - I got my nose, earlobes, and cartilage pierced with a gun, and they didn't hurt at all during the piercing. I felt the sting afterwards though. However, for my conch, tragus and industrial, I was at a tattoo parlor, where they use hallow piercing needles. The industrial goes through the cartilage in my ear, so it began stinging when they put the needle in and when the put the barbell in, it was almost unbearable. The tragus and conch aren't AS sensitive, but they hurt a great deal.

The thing is - apparently, needles are safer, yet more costly. They'll hurt more, but again, safer. But I did a few piercings with a gun (piercings that people specifically told me not to get with a gun) and they turned out just fine.

As for the rest of the body, anything on the genitals is bound to hurt (and I personally find it gross). I have my belly button pierced, but that wasn't SO bad. I mean, it was like a pinch. But the healing process...damn, it was gruesome. Not disgusting, but cleaning wise, and you had to make sure you didn't sweat too much. It was horrid, since I was playing volleyball at the time I got it pierced.

It depends, all in all, on a person. But I'd give the winner to getting your hips pierced, as far as the most popular piercings go. Otherwise, for me personally, it would have to go to an industrial piercing, because of having to stick the barbell through. And of course bridge...that must be killer.
