Is there a way to override a password?

I was out of the house on Saturday. My room mate had someone over. I came home to find my computer on. (but not the monitor) The name of the router and the password of the router had been changed as well as the name of the network (wireless). My computer is plugged in to the router. I had file sharing on. My computer is password protected. Supposedly the network did not accept the current password to accept a new device. I do not believe the story that was told to me because it does not make scene. Is there some way to see if this turd was going through the files on my desktop? I have turned file sharing off.

Update:

Password is not written down anywhere. The person doing this was an "expert" who could not figure out how to turn on the new flat screen monitor.

Update 2:

I'm not trying to change my password I know what it is. I was wondering if it was possible for "turd" to override it when I wasn't home.

anythibg is possible but if he could jot turn on a monitor I would not classify him as a hacker lol. Um but like I said he could of gone through the network if he knows the pw to that I recommend you pw protect anything you can so he doesn't go through your stuff.

idk about seeing if they were going through files

but if they had access to the router then they could have reset it and reset the password

and if you had your computer password protected and if they had access to it and really knew what they were doing

they could have changed that one too

Source(s): i have had to "hack" into a girls computer at work before because she forgot the password
