whether a girl married before the amendment in Hindu sucession act is eligible for equal rights in HUF.?

Hindu sucession Act has been amended in 2005-06. as per the amedments the ladies are equal partners in HUF.

    Yes, but limited to the ancestral property that was in the HUF as on 24-12-2004. Any sale, gift, settlement, release of interest or partition made before this date are valid. share can be demanded only in the remainder, if any.

    Yes , even girls married before 2005 can also avail of this benefit, provided the property in question / HUF existed at that point of time

    2005 Amendment in the Hindu Succession Act,1956 has brought the daughters at equal footage as sons by virtue of their birth in the joint Hindu family for the purpose of the joint Hindu ancestral property or copacenary property governed by Mitakshara law.

    Irrespective of their marital status the daughters will get same share as sons in any copacenary property at the time of partition of the property amongst all the Hindu copacenars in a joint Hindu family.

    They shall get share in the property of their father's HUF as daughter as mentioned above and in case husband's HUF is being partitioned between the husband and his sons and daughters than a share as mother of these copacenary sons and daughters.

    Donno... but if you have any plans of getting married... you better a have a prenuptial agreement in place...which might save you.
