Operant Conditioning vs. Classical Conditioning?

I'm having a bit of trouble differentiating between the two and don't quite understand this question:

Would this example be classical conditioning or operant conditioning (with positive or negative reinforcement)?

→ Your hands are cold so you put your gloves on. In the future, you're more likely to put gloves on when it's cold.

Thank-you in advance!

Classical conditioning is like Pavlov's dog salivating when the bell was rung. It rewards and punishes a behavior. It works for simple tasks and reflexes. For instance, if you touch a hot stove, you get burned and won't touch it again. You might have seen others put on gloves, so you knew already to put on gloves when your hands are cold, so that might be modeling, something different. Operant conditioning is when a behavior is shaped. it's more complex and would be like if you taught your dog to sit by giving him a treat each time he gets closer to sitting down. Think Skinner's box with the pigeons. Hope I'm not confusing it with something else. It's the one that involves rewards and punishment. Try googling them.
