I say Install Xcode. if your going towards game development you might look at corona sdk before learning objective c. its better at cross platform stuff. + a litter easier to learn for the beginner.

Xcode is not a language its a text editor / software development kit - its where you write software.

Objective C is the primary language that is used for iphone & mac development. but it allows you to mix your code with some c / c++ as well.

Aside from the coding language used to write software there are libraries of code that can be useful in developing an application. I used an api called cocos2d in the development of a game. which is a 2d game engine.

if want to learn objective c a good start https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#reference...

there is a whole world of information out there the rabbit hole never ends.

C++ or Objective C. However with the advances of Xcode you can jump right in and within a few days be doing small apps. There are several books available and also ibooks through Apple.

RMVX and the executables that it generates are closely established on the Win32 API. It does no longer help every other platform apart from this. It is no longer impossible, nonetheless, for those who control to do that, then you do not want RMVX, that you would be able to code the software your self.
