Is Obama not agreeing to GOP plans because he wants the tax increases to cover ObamaCare taxes?

Fact: We are going to be hit with the beginning of ObamaCare taxes in 2013.

Scenario 1: We avoid the "fiscal cliff" with an agreement. Taxes go up and the public finds out they are paying for ObamaCare.

Scenario 2: We go over the "fiscal cliff". Taxes go up and the public believes it all to be because the political parties couldn't reach an agreement.

The Administration wants Scenario 2, right?

Hannah, do you really think it took 2000 pages to say just one thing? What about the surtaxes and excise taxes written into it? Read section Title IX: Revenue Provisions. I think you're just a bit uninformed if you think it isn't costing us.

    Of course the public is paying for Obamacare! Its a socialist concept: tax the people for social services that the government administers but the people pay for.

    No, because there is no Obamacare tax. Obviously you have no idea what the affordable health care act is all about.

    It says that all citizens must buy health insurance or pay a fine.

    In my opinion, yes, you are correct in that Obama wants to go over the fiskal cliff. He is a liberal, so he wants more taxes not only for Obama Care, but for everything on his "agenda".

    Obama is not agreeing to GOP plans because we, the people, voted on them in the last election, and we rejected them.

    The Republicans don't currently have a plan, since Plan B self-destructed.
