The Bible tells us that Eve ate the forbidden fruit and was banished from the Garden of Eden?

The Bible tells us that Eve ate the forbidden fruit and was banished from the Garden of Eden. Eve used her free will to choose the path of evil. Adam did not. So why was Adam banished?

As the account in the Bible states, Eve recognized that she was deceived, meaning she didn't get the knowledge that the Devil told her that would result from eating the fruit. Adam, on the other hand, wasn't deceived and MADE the decision to join his wife in breaking God's law. His loyalty to his wife was greater than it was to his Creator.

I wonder if he figured that if he joined her, God will be in a place that he couldn't kill them because that would cause his purpose for the earth to fail. He didn't expect that Jehovah God would find another means to liberty Adam's children from the sin that he had committed.

This would be through a promised seed that would crush the Devil in the head, as the verses state in God's words to the Devil.

Um, that's only half of what the Bible said. It ALSO said that after she ate the forbidden fruit, she then offered it to Adam, who ALSO ate the fruit.

" Consequently the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something to be longed for to the eyes, yes, the tree was desirable to look upon.So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. Afterward she gave some also to her husband* when with her and he began eating it."

    ~ GENESIS 3:6

"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned

    ~ ROMANS 5: 12

    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Do you see what both of those scriptures say? GENESIS 3:6 shows how Eve gave Adam the fruit, and through misuse of FREE WILL, he too ate the fruit. That is why ROMANS 5:12 says that "Through one man, sin entered the world and death through sin". It's because of the fact that ADAM, our first human father ate the fruit, he too was banished and put to death along with his wife.

". . . For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

    ~ GENESIS 3:19

"With that Jehovah God put him out of the garden of E′den to cultivate the ground from which he had been taken. 24 And so he drove the man out and posted at the east of the garden of E′den the cherubs and the flaming blade of a sword that was turning itself continually to guard the way to the tree of life."

    ~ GENESIS 3: 23

    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Now do you see? Both Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, and they both were expelled from the Garden of Eden, and put to death later on. Had it ONLY HAVE BEEN Eve who ate the fruit, she would have received the penalty, not Adam.

Adam had free will as well. Eve wasn't told by God not to eat the forbidden fruit, but by Adam. She ate the fruit and asked Adam to taste it. When he did, he broke God's 1 command for them and they were banished for eternity from there, a place that could be anywhere today

while the bible says that eve did eat, it also says she was beguiled. what is not written in the bible , is that she did not make a covenant with the devil. she followed Adam and Adam ate because God had given EVE to be her wife! and there was two commandments given to adam and the third was to not eat the forbidden fruit. i seriously doubt that EVE was like Cain, who was the one that made the covenant with satan which ended in murder, Eve was not like the evil woman called Lilith, if the stories of her are true. Eve and Adam taught the gospel of jesus christ as prophecy together to warn their children to believe in righteousness. Eve was not a traitor to God aiui. men have imagined false doctrines continually. i dont know the truth of this topic for Sure! but what i do know seems to imply that EVE was faithful to Adam and Adam was faithful To God. so both are faithful and have been faithful ever since. imo

Gen.3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that

it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she

took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with

    her; and he did eat.

Eve ate of the tree and blamed the serpent, Adam ate and blamed Eve, so

who was to blame for all the paranoid drama going on here, before this,

their minds and feelings were not a tangled mess, they passed this tangled

mess onto their children, so that when Cain got his mind and feelings in a

tangled mess, he killed his brother Abel. If to know good from evil is to have

a choice, why did evil rule? Gen.8:21.

Marriage is a three way deal. Adam was created and had a relationship with The Lord who in

Matthew 1:23 Jesus being God with us, and John 1:1-3 Jesus being our Creator and Redeemer, then Eve was created and had a relationship with The Lord, then the two were brought together, its when The Lord was pushed aside and they picked each other and ignored there relationship with The Lord that problems started, Eve did sin and Adam followed Eve because He had already given up on His putting The Lord first in His life, Eve listened to the devil instead of The Lord for the same reason, they like us do the same things today.

Adam ate the fruit as well. It plainly says that after Eve ate the fruit that she gave it to Adam and he ate it too.

Because Adam did the same choice as did Eve, they were both deceived equally by Satan. They both failed the test of the tree, but won the real test of asking God for forgiveness and mercy. After forgiving them God sent them both to live in earth where the true real test of life, and the test of humanity begins.

    You got it wrong.

Eve was deceived and sinned. Adam was not deceived and sinned. It is Adam that brought sin into the world and death. Thus they were sent out of the garden both.

    Romans 5:12:

Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:—

13 for until the law sin was in the world; but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many. 16 And not as through one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment came of one unto condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses unto justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, even Jesus Christ.
