Your caseworker can give you a list. But not everyone who gets food stamps is eligible to use them at approved restaurants. You must be approved for hot food benefits. These are given to people who do not have kitchens like the homeless or those with certain disabilities who cannot prepare food. Even if approved, only a portion of the benefit can be used at an approved restaurant.

In the state of California, NO fast food places are allowed, since hot prepared foods are off limits. You can purchase frozen or cold foods though.

EDIT: I do know several caseworkers and a supervisor who does this for the State of California, and they tell me that it isn't allowed to buy hot food from any fast food outlet. So, since you asked for CA, I gave a 100% accurate answer as given to me by Administrators of the Food Stamp Program for CA. If there are and they're caught, they will be fined and loose EBT acceptance.

I am sorry to sound pissy, but if you are on food stamps then there is no reason for you to be eating at a fast food place.
