How to stop iTunes from editing my song titles?

Sometimes when I download music files to iTunes, I like to edit titles the way I think it should be titled. I have noticed lately that when I go into iTunes the next day or two after personally editing my files, it has changed the file name. It gets very annoying having to constantly change the names back to the way I had them. Does anyone know how to stop iTunes from doing this?

Thanks!

Copy the song to a CD then import the file from the CD back to your computer as a MP3 file. The MP3 file will keep whatever you name it.

In iTunes go to "Edit", "Preferences", "General" and uncheck the box to automatically retrieve CD track names from internet.
