My ex keeps calling me.?

Question

We were engaged for about a year but she ended it. I had tried my best to be a part of her life because we were a family. (not literally, no kids. Just two cats) I knew I was going to come out on the short end of the stick but I hated feeling like I abandoned her. Well I just found out she's been dating some db so I told her that I couldn't do it anymore. I said I was sorry but I won't keep beating my head into a brick wall. It's been a few days and she won't stop calling. I haven't answered but I feel terrible. I do miss her but I know I can't keep this up. Am I wrong here? I can't be her security blanket if it costs me my happiness. I just feel awful.

I mean if she was w/someone else what are the chances of that happening again... exactly!!!

Imagine if y'all were married and something like this happened. HALF!!

I would talk to her and end this for my conscious sake. Then move on. That's just me just something to think about.

You are bound to feel awful, you have been through a lot. Perhaps answer your phone the next time it rings and let her know nicely that just has she has moved on, you are going to try and do the same, and you would appreciate her giving you time and distance.

like you said, you can't be her security blanket. go out and meet some cute, nice chick who will actually treat you right. don't feel bad about "abandoning" your current girl because she's the one using you and she should be the one that's to blame.
