just keep paying the rent, the mortgage is your landlords problem. If they say that they are going to let it go into foreclosure and if you have a little of money stashed away, you just might be the new owner and landlord of the place. Something to think about.

what recourse do you think you have.

You have paid rent on time as you should have been doing. In exchange you have received a place to live. The contract/agreement has been fulfilled by you and the landlord.

Him not paying his mortgage has NOTHING to do with you. You haven't been harmed.

Your only recourse is to continue paying your rent on time. The landlord and his mortgage are none of your business. If your lease is up, you can give notice and move.

Legal recourse? For what? She is not obligated to you to pay her mortgage. The mortgage company has recourse, but you are not even involved.

Just keep paying the mortgage until you are notified they have been foreclosed on. At that time you'll probably get notice to leave and possibly a new owner who to pay. You can either leave when your lease is up (after you give notice) or wait until they get foreclosed on and you get notice to leave and leave then.
