i need a lawyer who works on a Contingency basis on Slander in Sonoma county California. !?
ive been harrassed , assaulted, slandered, and threatened for 4 years by the owner of a small buisiness in town,, can anyone please find me a lawyer who works in this area who may work on contingency ? thanks

Very few lawyers will take such a case. First, you have to prove something was said, then you have to prove that it was false, and then you have to prove that you had financial damages solely as a result of those words. Pretty impossible.
If you are willing to pay, a lawyer might take it. But why on earth would they spend their time for no pay on such a risky type of case?
If you were assaulted, you should have called the police. Likewise with being harassed. Get a restraining order.

Rick the Only attorneys that work on contingency process are
Personal Injury lawyers. Anyone outside that purview is going
to want a retainer.

it's really just about impossible to win a slander suit in the US of A. Try to move on and forget about it.
