All religions claim the guy above us created everything on earth. I've got a question about our ethics.?

Most of us eat meat. Today, when we were eating our meals, whether it's a chicken, pork, beef, beacon, any meats, have you ever wondered, when that particular animal was dragged to the slaughter house and killed, was it hungry?

If yes, how did you feel? If no, why?

Update:

BrokenEye, the question was not really about them being well fed. Have you ever wondered if the animal was hungry when he was slaughtered?

Update 2:

C C, Maybe not all religion. But most if them. Do we all pray but just turn a blind eye to everything else?

Update 3:

Mushtaq, there is no need to advocate humankind. The question is very simple.

Have you ever wondered if the animal on your plate was hungry when it was killed? Or do you believe it does not matter if they are hungry. There are just a piece of meat.

Update 4:

Well, I don't pray.

This question is for those people who believe in God. And I am a Asian.

Honestly, I don't think all religions say that.

I'll refrain from making beacon jokes.

Livestock raised for meat are very well-fed.

EDIT: Actually, yeah it is. If they were well-fed, they weren't hungry. So no, I've never wondered about that because I already know the answer.

I like cows. We feed them before we kill them so they have nothing to complain about.

By the way "the guy above us" is not real.

I fail to understand the comparison of religion with eatinng of meat etc. In a fast developing international society dominated by indiviidualism,, materialism, and mechanisation, it is rather difficult to make people conscious of their duty and responsibility to the true and one God. It appears that there is bewildering waywardness to understand the authority of God. God has given mankind intelligence to live in this world and provided resources to satisfy his worldy needs. To drag the animals to slaughter house has not been taught by God. However, man was a supreme creature who has been given all resouces at his discretion to satiisfy his needs. To eat is a basic need and it should be satisfied by the eatable produced on this world by God not necessarily meat..

"All religions claim the guy above us created everything on earth."

    Seriously?

I'll bet you think everyone is American, too, just because all the people you know are American.
