What's happening with Yahoo appeals?

I answer quite a lot of questions and get reported maybe twice a week. I usually appeal against these if I feel my response was reasonable. I'm used to not getting any sort of response to around half those appeals, but haven't had a single response for the last couple of months. It's no big deal, but I wonder what responses other people have had to appeals over the last couple of months. If you appeal what's your experience been, and any ideas why the response regime might have changed?

I never received a response on my last 2 appeals (both within the past several months). Up until then, I had received a response on every appeal except ONE, in all the years I've used this site.

However, I discovered (quite by accident, while looking for something else) that the answer I appealed last had been restored, although I was never notified. So I wonder if we sometimes DO win appeals but are not told?

As to why? It seems likely that the appeals system is just another casualty in the cost-cutting. Yahoo! is probably just not willing to pay enough minions to do the job.

Response time seems to vary, I've had replies In less than an hour, my last appeal about 2 weeks ago took about a week which leads me to believe it could depend on the workload; sometimes I've never heard back which would indicate there is a periodic glitch and my appeal has been lost.

Just got one (there was a reason i WAS on YA constantly trying to help people, but left for good awhile back... too much garbage from Yahoo) ... I am a very VERY "techie" kind of guy, and I (after HOURS) still cant find a valid email (though it'd do no good to contact yahoo anway) ... the only way to appeal is the link in the email, WHICH IS NOT even a link "appeal<blah> /<moreBlah>" ... pasted it on (http://)www.yahoo.com/ ... answers.yahoo.com ... nothing works ... I left due to getting almost every (and I was answering "alot") answer flagged and even after appealing it'd be a few months (yes months) before I heard anything ... IF I HEARD anything ... I think this voliation i just got was from an anwser I gave two years ago

I have appealed a few times and have never received a response other than a form email telling my appeal was received. Responding to an appeal would require yahoo to put a person on it. I suspect this will not happen.

The Waffen YA does what it pleases! That is why they keep screwing with things.

I haven't had a reported answer in a few weeks, but in the past I would say over half of my appeals were NOT acknowledged!

YA seems to now just delete things at will! The last two questions I answered were critical of YA, and they are now nowhere to be found!

I used to get responses to my appeals last year, but for the last several months I have made several appeals and not gotten any responses.

I have never gotten a response. I guess they throw them out.

You answered my question, "No, I do not" when I asked if anyone remembered an event. Your answer was garbage and an arrogant way to gain points. I did not report your answer even though it clutters the question along with "idk" and "yes" responses.
