Back Injury?

I got injured 2 months ago and they diagnosed me with a Lumbar Spine injury. I went to Physical Therapy, then had Chiropractic care for 2 months and the pain won't go away. I'm supposed to have an MRI done, but awaiting approval. Why doesn't my back heal? I don't get it?

    Hello Ochenta,

Back injuries heal within 3 to 5 months. Depending on many factors, like mechanism of injury, what muscles &

or ligaments were involved, how severe was the injury, etc. These and other conditions will dictate your healing process. Unless a medical professional mentioned healing takes 4 months. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

pulled my upper back muscle years ago, but i do have re-occurring incidences.

Thanks for the quick response. I am just sad because I can't work out. It took me a whole year to drop 60lbs by changing my eating and exercise plan, so I became very active. Now with this horrible back injury, my doc says I can't do anything other than the exercises they've recommended. I'm turning into the couch potato I used to be and I know I've gained about 15lbs since... I'm so stressed, no clue what to do.
