Red Hair Dye?

I have naturally really black hair and used some permanant red hair dye from Walgreens for 6$ and it turned out slightly dark red.

Its been 4 weeks already and I heard it fades into a auburn color but its still the same.

So my question is how much longer will it be until it starts changing?

And when it does, and I want it reddish again, do I just dye it like normal before it was dyed?

Since your hair was darker than the dye you used it probably will not fade as much as if it was used on lighter hair. When you need to dye your hair again to refresh the color you can do a whole head dye or color the roots and then half way through the timing comb it through your hair to the ends. It depends on the condition of your hair as to which method will work best for you.
