My pt cruiser almost started, got 0522 code, changed the sensor, which looked oily. Also put in a new fuel pump. It still wont start.?

Update:

No idiot lights came on until I put the new sensor in, now engine and oil light comes on?

The p 0522 code still comes up?

    That should have been the oil pressure sensor that you changed. It is hard to measure the oil pressure without contacting the oil. Sounds like the oil pressure sensor was not bad. I don't know if that engine will run without oil pressure or not. All the P0522 code means is that the oil pressure is sensed as being low. It can be low or no oil in the engine. A bad oil pump, bad rod/main/camshaft bearings, a missing oil filter, or bad wiring, or even a bad oil pressure sender. I guess you have a reasonable assumption that the oil pressure sender is good. You need to check some other things. If you have the correct oil level in the engine, you may want to put a mechanical gauge on it and see if you are getting oil pressure when you crank the engine.
