Most wireless printers also have a USB connection
that will allow you to directly connect the printer to your computer
However, it is not unusual for the printer to only be capable of doing one type of connection at a time.
Either use it wirelessly for everything
or
Use it with a USB connection for everything
NOT a mixture of both
Enclosed link may help you

Step 1: Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable
To reset the connection between the printer and computer, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer.
Wait five seconds.
Reconnect the USB cable to the printer and the computer. Apply some pressure to secure the connections.
Make sure that the USB cable is connected correctly.
Try the installation again.
