Do people really drive this fast on US highways?

    LOL.

Not in most places. There are long stretches of highway in some very underpopulated states like Montana and South Dakota where there is no speed limit on the highway.

The reason for having no spreed limit, of course, is because no one lives anywhere nearby.

In most of the other 46 out of 48 continental states, it's rare to find anyone driving over 85mph. (By using the term "continental" we are excluding Alaska and Hawaii)

I think that video is sped up, but close, at least. I know of several highways I've driven on where everyone was going 90-100. Don't know that I've ever seen a pack going 110+, though.

No the roads are almost as bad as in Russia. Only in Western-Europe (e.g. Germany) you can drive fast safely.
