Would a wealthy person in Thailand or Vietnam be expected to have the same life expectancy as counterpart in say Japan or other rich nation?

Update:

Long story short i'm considering moving to one of the former, but am concerned with a 10 year lower life expectancy than the more developed neighboring countries. Obviously the socioeconomic status there has a ton to do with it, but I am aware of other factors. So would a reasonably wealthy person (who would have access to to healthy living conditions and "I presume" better healthcare than the average population be expected to have a similar life expectancy as in a more developed nation

  • Something people don't understand about life expectancy is, it's an average that is most effected by infant mortality. It's not an indicator that if you life to 5 years old, that you won't live to 80 years old. So, Thailand and Vietnam have lower average lifespans because they have higher infant mortality (generally). Otherwise, it's reasonably close to developed countries.

Probably. I know people who have retired to Thailand and have had medical procedures there, including a heart bypass. They seem quite happy with the medical services. And they get massages all the time. Vietnam is another story- it's considerably behind Thailand in development.
