Has anyone ever ordered something from Etsy that was out of the country?

...I mean out of the USA... was it safe to buy that way? Did it take a long time to ship?

I've never had a problem with any shop in the UK., but there is a shop in another European country (I will not name it)

    that is giving me headaches.

I ordered a custom-made item and was told that it would take three weeks maximum to make, afterwards, the shop owner would contact me to say it was finished and ready to ship. Three weeks went by. I waited another three weeks, and contacted the

shop owner who told me it was just a glitch, and that my order would be ready and completed within ten days.

On the tenth day, Etsy contacted me, asking for a review of that item. I (truthfully) said that I'd never received it, and because

a star rating is required, gave it a single star.

The shop owner got back go me at once(!), complaining that my review would be bad for business.

I responded that if I actually HAD the item, I might have given a better review.

For the record, I am still waiting.

I don't shop on etsy but several of the things which I've bought on Ebay were from sellers outside the US.

It was annoying to not be able to track shipments, but they arrived quickly & usually in condition described.
