For me, clicking on unknown links is how you get your computer into trouble. For every person I have gotten rid of computer viruses for, I tell them if they don't know the link, don't click on it. That said, even if there was no danger of infection, I am going to do my own research and go to my usual online shopping sites to purchase them. The only thing, besides being annoying, that ads do for me is on very rare occasion mention something I am unaware of, but I don't click on the ad to learn more, I look it up myself.

there are no useful items in ads. just junk they want to sell you that you don't really need, but that makes you feel like you aren't just working to get by, and your life is actually meaningful in some small way.

True for me also. If I want something then I will look for it. I don't need those stupid banners and advertisements all over the place.

    True, well true for me

I never click on adverts, half of them are probably scams. If I'm after something, I'll search for it.
