What Is "The Trinity" When It Comes to US Cities?
As in which 3 cities are most famous, important, powerful, iconic, recognizable, etc.?
I say in this order:
1. New York City
2. Los Angeles
3. Chicago

During the 20th Century that most certainly would have been true. But a century prior San Francisco was the more developed California city...and of course now Houston is gaining population while Chicago is losing population. So by the middle of this century things will probably change yet again.
