Why aren't people who feel the world is overpopulated fully onboard with exposure to coronavirus?

I mean they keep going on about the fact that there's more people than the world can provide for with resources, so maybe this is the time for them to put up or shut up.

The Corona virus has little effect on world population. About 140 million people are born each year. So far worldwide 1,043,215 deaths have been attributed to the virus while 26,712,957 people survived the virus. If we assume all the deaths were actually the result of the virus it would change the birth rate by 006%.

We would if the virus would affect the richest one percent, as those are the ones consuming more than 10 times their fair share of the resources
